A new push for the bioeconomy

Start-In BÖ

The Bioeconomy start-up initiative is an association involving people from different organisations and focuses on the targeted further development of the bioeconomy ecosystem for start-ups and SMEs in Baden-Württemberg.

The Bioeconomy start-up initiative works with our members to cover essential institutions and topic areas as well as work on overarching issues. We also support company founders in Baden-Württemberg by providing concrete and practical assistance. Our goal is to contribute to a change in public perception and demonstrate the competence of bioeconomy company founders in finding solutions for the major issues of our time.

The Bioeconomy initiative sees itself as a point of contact for company founders, companies, investors and politicians. It also sees itself in the role of an ‘enabler’. We are seeking to initiate targeted measures and proposals and are open to any others who wish to take up arms alongside us. The initiative is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and Energy Sector as part of the implementation of the Baden-Württemberg government’s Sustainable Bioeconomy strategy within the context of measures on ‘Green Founders’.
