The “Akteursplattform Bioökonomie Baden-Württemberg” is an initiative that enables companies, associations and networks to work together to develop a regional bioeconomy in Baden-Württemberg. Achieving a bioeconomy is a stated political objective that strives for a shift in the type of raw materials used by society and the adoption of new value-creation approaches.
In the future, oil, gas and coal will no longer be key fuels and industrial raw materials. Instead, biomass, biobased raw materials and organic waste will increasingly be used for energy, fuel and materials production.
In an effort to focus more on renewable carbon sources, the agricultural, forestry and waste management sectors will need to interact with industry more closely than in the past, the first two in their role as raw materials suppliers and the third as resource user. These sectors are connected together by process developers and machine and plant manufacturers that make biogenic carbon compounds for users in the chemical, textile, plastics, materials, automotive, energy and other industries.
All this is an opportunity for regional and international companies to become involved in the development of new services and products, enter into new partnerships and develop new technologies. The Akteursplattform Bioökonomie Baden-Württemberg facilitates effective networking between different stakeholders in the bioeconomy.
The Baden-Württemberg Akteursplattform Bioökonomie aims to establish special interest groups where companies, networks and associations can work together to find ways to turn Baden-Württemberg into a region with a thriving bioeconomy. The platform will also provide opportunities for discussion and workshops on the complex issue of bioeconomy, help people make new contacts and develop practical bioeconomy projects in Baden-Württemberg.
The platform will be coordinated by BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg and shaped by you! Participation is free of charge.
