Healthcare and Medical Technologies Business Mission to Korea

The EU Gateway Programme Healthcare & Medical Technologies Mission to Korea will take place from 29 November – 3 December 2010. Thirty companies will be selected for the Mission from among applicants in all EU Member States. EU companies that have innovative techniques and technologies related to the healthcare and medical sectors and possibly related to medical equipment and homecare and rehabilitation equipment can apply until 23rd of July 2010.

The EU Gateway Programme is managed by the European Commission and helps European Union companies to succeed in Japan and Korea by providing support at the critical early stages of their market penetration strategy.

Why Korea?

EU-Korea free trade agreement means lowered market entry barriers and support for business development. Korea stands for a large, fast-growing economy with increased trade opportunities and a broad base of sophisticated consumers with a strong purchasing power.

EU-Gateway

EU-Gateway offers the follwing opportunities:

  • expand market share in a cost-effective and efficient way
  • Make new contacts and strengthen existing relationships
  • Discover current and future trends in the Korean market
  • Get immediate feedback when introducing your products and technologies face-to-face
  • Discuss challenges and trends with other industry professionals
  • Raise the profile of your company with an official European Union mission
  • co-finances 80% of the costs for organisation and services
  • co-finances hotel accommodation for one week (up to € 1000)

Application

The programme is looking for companies that have a solid business-structure, exist for at least 5 years and have exports and sales experience in other EU countries.
The healthcare and medical technologies business mission is for EU companies that have innovative techniques and technologies related to the healthcare and medical sectors and possibly related to medical equipment and homecare and rehabilitation equipment.
Applications are electronic, easily completed and submitted online. Companies have the opportunity to participate in up to three times in the Programme mission to Japan.

The healthcare and medical technologies business mission is for EU companies that have innovative techniques and technologies related to medical items.

Application deadline: 23. July 2010

The healthcare and medical technologies business mission to Korea takes place from 29th of November to 3rd of December 2010.
